Only steps away from the center of Plagne 1800 and the steep slopes, this chalet offers accessibility to the mountain and town while being tucked away in the lush pine trees. Chalet Dakota can accommodate lodging for up to 15 people with its 7 ensuite bedrooms each with their own toilet and bathroom. Enjoy cuddling up next to the fireplace in our spacious living room and delight in browsing our selection of books in the library. From the living room bay windows or from the balcony and terrace, you can gaze upon the breathtaking, panoramic views of the mountain.

Boasting 5 cristals from Paradiski’s tourism office, our chalet offers wifi throughout the chalet and a desk with an Ethernet cable. We also offer the luxury amenities of a sauna and spacious ski and snowboard room equipped with a ski boots drier, space to store all your ski equipment and a private parking space.

The chalet has been fully renovated in 2022 just in time for a luxury ski vacation.

Posted at an altitude of 1850m, Chalet Dakota is at the heart of charming La Plagne, one of the top ski resorts in the French Alps, and the Les Arc Ski areas. The chalet is also conveniently located a 3 minute walk away from the supermarket and town center.

Chalet Dakota is a ski in ski out chalet very near to the blue ski slope descending from the chairlifts of La Plagne Centre and Plagne 1800. This convenient location will ease your mountain experience on the groomed terrain and enhance the memories you make in the great Paradiski ski and snowboard area. Once the winter season is over and the sun is shining, our chalet is also available for rent in the summer months. 

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our friendly concierge, Stéphanie. If you wish to spend your skiing and snowboarding holidays with catered meals, we have the addresses of local companies that will provide menus for the week upon your arrival.

Self catering chalet in La Plagne for 15 people

Chalet Dakota is a 7 suite bedroom chalet located in a peaceful area right on the edge of an alpine forest. With 3 levels and 200 square meters of space, Chalet Dakota can accommodate up to 15 guests.

This premium chalet includes a fully equipped and expansive kitchen with enough room for 8 to prepare meals and enjoy moments with friends and family. Chalet Dakota also contains a grand dining table perfect for reuniting after a long day on the mountain to share a nice raclette, a typical savoyard dish.

Guests can also enjoy a wood burning fireplace and a children’s living room fully stocked with books and board games.

The bedrooms are located on a separate level from the living spaces helping to preserve the restfulness of the private rooms and liveliness in shared spaces.

Located at 1850m of elevation, this ski in ski out chalet guarantees the best ski conditions and regular snowfall from the beginning of December until the end of April for a lengthy ski season. Chalet Dakota is stationed less than 5 minutes away from the center of Plagne 1800 and the ski slopes but still has the charm and calm of being in the pine forest.

On the mountain you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding and plenty of apres-ski activities. Many winter sports enjoyed by our guests include downhill skiing, free style, off piste skiing, ski touring or backcountry skiing. After a long day of snowsports on the mountain, guests of all ages can enjoy an ice skating rink, outdoor music pubs, gondola rides, snow tubing, bobsled tracks and many more winter activities.

Plagne 1800, a charming village in the middle of the forest

Access to Plagne 1800 is very easy, whether you decide to come by train, by plane or by car. 

Starting out as a lead mining village, Plagne 1800 is now an extensive mountain resort town and ski destination in La Plagne. The town's calm and pleasant atmosphere has some of the best panoramic views of the peaks of Mont Blanc. The chalets and private residences in Plagne 1800 have mountain character with their slated roofs and wooden frame, enhancing your winter holidays.

The village has all the essentials necessary for a pleasurable stay. Plagne 1800 is equipped with restaurants, bars, skis and snowboards rental shops, ski school and a SPAR supermarket supplying you with all your ski snowboard needs. The ski-lift pass shop is located on the snow front of the ski resort at the base of the ski-runs, just below the chalet conveniently located to buy your chairlift passes and ski packages. You can purchase passes for just single day use up all the way up to a season pass.

Paradiski has runs available for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. If this is your first time on the mountain and you want to learn to ski, the ESF ski school offers snowboarding and ski lessons by English speaking instructors for beginners. Located on the snow front by the ski-lifts, they offer both private and group lessons for adult and kids ski.

Plagne center is easily accessible and can be reached on foot in 15 minutes or by shuttle in 5 minutes.
