Ski touring on Paradiski
Ski touring is in vogue and an integral part of what La Plagne has to offer. To begin, you take the ascending trails that are signposted and then descend the downhill ski slopes. Thanks to these dedicated and marked trails, you can practice ski touring in complete safety and independently.
Among the main cross country skiing routes marked around our chalet rental in Paradiski, we particularly like the hike to the Forclaz pass from the chalet. This route alternates between groomed and “off-piste” sections, sloping sections and flatter sections. As a bonus, it offers a magnificent view of Mont Blanc and the surrounding massifs.
For the more athletic and daring skier, the high mountain guides of La Plagne can help you discover off-piste ski touring routes in the heart of nature, especially on Plagne Versant du Soleil, at the foothills of the Beaufortain. Routes in Beaufortain range from half a day, to a multiple-day loop with overnights in an unguarded refuge in the winter.

Dou du Praz track: A superb 5 km loop starting at the top of Plagne Village. The view over the domain and the Mont-Blanc is breathtaking.
Piste des Frasses: A very nice round trip in the forest of 12 km which will take you from Plagne Bellecote to Plan Bois (Montchavin sector) with beautiful views of the Beaufortain massif and Mont Blanc. Calmness is assured.
Piste des Mairiers: A beautiful round trip of more than 10 km nestled in the middle of the forest between the bobsleigh track and the chalets of Plagne Montalbert.
There are many other routes, such as the Boucle de Prajourdan or the loops of the sunny Adray plateau.

The Bief Bovet snowshoe hike is our favorite. You can get there by starting with the Mairiers' path at the start of the bobsleigh track. After about 500 m, you will follow a small stream for several kilometers. This stream was dug by hand in the 13th century and the trail offers over 80 panels that will invite you to discover the history of this small stream through the centuries.

The start of the toboggan run is in the village of La Roche, just below the Plagne 1800 station. From the chalet located in Plagne 1800, you can either get there by shuttle (2 min) or take the the picturesque forest path, on foot or on snowshoes, which descends in the middle of the forest from the bottom of Plagne 1800 towards Pont de l'Arc (40 min on foot).
